The Cayman Island's Flag is different now, because the white disc was removed and the arms are more than doubled in size. Although, the rest of the flag pretty much stayed the same other than the few changed made. To the left, is the original Cayman Island's Flag before it was changed.
The three islands were originally named Largartos, meaning alligators or very large lizards. In 1530, the islands were renamed the Cayman Islands. Cayman was a word from the Caribbean Indians meaning marine crocodile, which was found living on the islands.
Tourism and international finance are the Cayman Islands' major industries. The Cayman Islands are a major vacation spot.
